Finishing works on RAK’s Hampton by Hilton
Al Ali Construction & Development is the main contractor for the Al Marjan Island-located project
The $81.6m (AED300m), 39,625m2 Hampton by Hilton Hotel at the Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) is currently undergoing external elevation finishing works and MEP works, the main contractor, RAK-based Al Ali Construction & Development has confirmed.
The finishing works cover the installation of factory fabricated glass façades and aluminium claddings on a total area of 23,000m2 of white-wooden coloured aluminium cladding and glass exteriors coverings.
In addition, the project has marked significant progress in MEP including tile works, roofing and false ceiling installations.
The 515-key beach resort has been engineered by JT+Partners, with International Engineering Center as the supervision consultant.
Hampton by Hilton currently stands at 85% completion, slated for overall completion by 2021, Arch. Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO, Marjan, told Construction Week during a recent site visit. The project reported 156,000 safe man hours per month with the total number of workers on-site per month at 19,500, at the time of reporting.
