Umi

Umi is Waldorf Astoria’s Japanese room and it goes deeper than the usual hotel sushi counter. Teppanyaki station, sushi bar, a Kaiseki menu for the table that wants the full chef-led arc. The sea view does most of the atmospheric work, and karaoke covers the second half of the evening for the groups who want it. Best for foodies and date nights where one of you actually orders the omakase instead of pretending to consider it. Reservations recommended on weekends.
