Eid Al Adha 2026 in Ras Al Khaimah: Everything the Government Has Announced

From the Ruler’s pardon of 443 inmates to Qurbani slaughterhouse hours, police festivities and RAK Moments staycations, here is everything the Ras Al Khaimah government has lined up for Eid Al Adha 2026.

Eid Al Adha is nearly here, and the Ras Al Khaimah government has been busy. From a heartwarming gesture by the Ruler to the practical bits that actually matter when you are planning your sacrifice or your long weekend, there is a lot happening across the emirate. Here is everything that has been announced so far, all in one place.

When is Eid Al Adha 2026 in Ras Al Khaimah?

Arafat Day falls on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, with Eid Al Adha celebrated on Wednesday, 27 May, through Friday, 29 May. Public sector staff are looking at a generous break that runs from Monday, 25 May to Friday, 29 May, which lines up into a nine-day stretch once you fold in the weekend. If you want the full holiday breakdown, we have laid it out in our guide to the confirmed Eid Al Adha 2026 dates.

A heartwarming start: the Ruler pardons 443 inmates

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has ordered the release of 443 inmates from the emirate’s correctional and punitive institution ahead of Eid Al Adha. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, directed that the necessary steps be taken to implement the pardon in coordination with the police.

The move is designed to ease the financial burden on the families of those released and give them a fresh start to reintegrate into society. It is a tradition that the emirate returns to each Eid, much like the pardons granted in previous years, and it sits within a wider national wave of Eid clemency across the UAE.

RAK Municipality sets the slaughterhouse hours for Qurbani

If you are planning to perform the Qurbani sacrifice, this one is for you. The RAK Municipality Department has confirmed it has completed its Eid preparations and set the holiday working hours for the emirate’s slaughterhouses. That covers the central slaughterhouse at Al Falayah, the Ras Al Khaimah city slaughterhouse, and the Al Ghail slaughterhouse, along with the emirate’s border outlets. The department says it has stepped up readiness and staffing to handle the Eid rush.

WOW-RAK Expert Tip: Slaughterhouses get slammed on the morning of Eid. Confirm the exact opening times with the municipality the day before, go early, and consider booking through an approved online Qurbani service if you would rather skip the queue entirely.

RAK Police spreads the cheer with “Eidukum Farha wa Aman”

It is not all logistics. Ras Al Khaimah Police run a community initiative called “Eidukum Farha wa Aman” (your Eid, joy and safety), put together with representatives of the resident communities across the emirate. The programme brings festive activities, cultural performances, awareness competitions and giveaways to families during the Eid days, with the dual aim of spreading holiday cheer and strengthening the bond between the community and the force. In past years, it has been hosted at Manar Mall over the evenings of Eid.

Celebrating the workers who keep RAK running

On the national front, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation is rolling out Eid celebrations for workers across 30 locations nationwide under the theme “Our Workers’ Happiness, the Joy of Our Eid”. Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) is among the partners, joining police departments, municipalities, civil defence and others to make sure the people who keep the emirate humming get to enjoy the holiday too.

Where to spend the long weekend: “RAK Moments”

Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism authority is leaning into the holiday with its “RAK Moments” campaign, a curated set of Eid staycations running through the break. With temperatures climbing, a cool resort weekend close to home is an easy win for families. Browse our pick of the best staycation offers in Ras Al Khaimah, and see what else is on in our roundup of Eid Al Adha happenings and offers.

WOW-RAK Expert Tip: Eid staycation rates and family packages move fast over a nine-day break. If a deal catches your eye, lock in a refundable rate now rather than waiting for the holiday to start.

Still to come

Two more announcements are expected before the holiday lands. RAK Police almost always publish a comprehensive Eid security and traffic plan, with extra patrols around mosques, malls, beaches and main roads, and the official Eid prayer timings and musallah list usually follow close behind. We will update this guide the moment both are confirmed, so bookmark it and keep an eye on this page.
