Spartan Obstacle Course Race 2020 in Ras Al Khaimah: Enroll Now!
Born in the gritty green mountains of Vermont by Joe DeSena, world-class adventure racer, Spartan is a frame of mind.
Spartan Race is innovating obstacle racing on a global scale. With more than 130 races around the world annually – They offer three core races each escalating in distance, obstacle count and challenge level.
- The Spartan Sprint (5K/20 obstacles),
- The Spartan Super (10K/ 25 obstacles) and
- Spartan Beast (Half Marathon/ 30 obstacles).
Courses are riddled with signature obstacles: mud, barbed wire, walls, rope and fire. Challenge yourself to complete all three and become part of the TRIFECTA tribe.
They also offer a kids race (½ – 1 mile), Special Spartans (for racers with intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities), and for those who looking to push themselves even further, the Hurricane Heat (bootcamp-style challenge) and the Ultra (50K, 60 obstacles).

The Spartan race in Ras Al Khaimah will be divided into various categories: Sprint, Super, Hurricane Heat and one just for the kids.
The Spartan Sprint
Over 5km, with 20 of the race’s signature obstacles to conquer. Perfect for runners of any levels, it may be the shortest but packs the most obstacles to overcome.
The Spartan Super
A 10km distance with more than 25 Signature Spartan Obstacles, all through tougher and more rugged terrain.
The Hurricane Heat
The Hurricane Heat is a unique event, where participants will be assigned a team upon arrival and will be expected to work together to complete any and all challenges set before them.
Teamwork pays off, as you can’t finish alone. There are no timing chips, no clock, just a fun run Spartan-style. And Burpees, lots of burpees apparently.
The participants must be 18 years or older.
The Spartan Kids
For little ones aged 4 to 14. A distance up to 3.2km and 7 to 14 obstacles to get around, kids are expected to jump, run and get muddy.
