Ras Al Khaimah’s legendary New Year’s Eve fireworks are back with a wild mash-up of bold colours, insane light choreography, and next-level laser-drone wizardry that’s ready to welcome 2026 with a bang (or several).
And that’s not all—RAK is doubling the sparkle this year. A separate fireworks show will also light up the city centre on 31 December at 8 PM, right across from Julphar Towers. Catch the glow from Manar Mall or the Corniche for prime views without the crowds.

RAK NYE is back and more thrilling than ever. With advanced choreography, multisensory elements, and new-generation laser drones, the fireworks show aims to surpass previous years’ achievements and deliver a show-stopping performance.
In addition to the iconic coastal fireworks, a special city-centre display will take place opposite Julphar Towers on 31 December at 8 PM. Visitors can enjoy this early show from viewing points such as Manar Mall and the Ras Al Khaimah Corniche.

The RAK NYE Festival continues to be a free public event open to all residents and visitors. Designed with families in mind, the festival offers carnival games, inflatable activities, food trucks, live entertainment, and dedicated zones for families and bachelors. It’s the perfect setup to enjoy the midnight fireworks and drone show in a fun-filled environment.

The festivities officially begin at 2:00 pm on December 31st. From the moment the doors open, the RAK NYE Festival is buzzing with activity, featuring an exciting mix of entertainment throughout the day and night.

Camping Under the Stars
For those looking to enjoy a unique experience, complimentary BBQ and camping facilities are available at the Rams Parking zone, located next to the RAK NYE Festival site. This area offers breathtaking views of the Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
Dedicated areas for caravans and RVs are provided at the Dhaya Parking zone, while guests camping with tents can use the Al Rams Parking zone. Both zones operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hassle-Free Parking
A limited number of designated parking spaces will be available for visitors attending RAK NYE. All parking is free and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Visitors must register their vehicle to access the parking zones. Parking areas are spread across the Al Hamra and Al Marjan Island stretch, as shown on the RAKNYE map.
Please note that all roads will be closed from 11:00 pm onwards on 31 December 2025, so early arrival is highly recommended to avoid delays.

Access to Marjan Island
Access to Al Marjan Island is restricted to registered vehicles only. From 2 PM on December 31st, all cars entering the island must have a valid registration pass. Visitors staying at hotels or dining at restaurants on the island will receive a registration link from their respective venues to complete the process. It is essential to ensure that vehicle registration is completed in advance to guarantee smooth access to the island.

For those looking for a premium experience, the private ticketed event “Soundfest” awaits, featuring an international artist lineup, a dedicated kids’ area, and a variety of food and beverage options.

Leading up to the New Year’s Eve celebrations on December 31st, Ras Al Khaimah offers a host of festive family fun celebrations. From tree lighting ceremonies to Christmas events and NYE gala dinners, the Emirate’s hotels have something special in store for their guests. The New Year’s Eve Organizing Committee is a collaborative effort led by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA). It comprises teams from Marjan, Ras Al Khaimah Police, Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office, Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, Public Works, Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Al Hamra, and others. Together, they work tirelessly to ensure that this grand celebration goes off without a hitch.
Behind the scenes of Ras Al Khaimah Fireworks
Al Marjan Island will be an ever-changing stage of massive fireworks, accompanied by spectacular drone pyrotechnics. There are more than 15,000 fireworks as well as 5,000 hours of hard work, 130 sea pontoons, and hundreds of drones with pyrotechnics.
The fireworks are designed in European factories and hand-crafted by historic fireworks families over the past few months. The large shells, the bright and changing colours, and the unique forms will contribute to the show’s beauty. The 12 minutes of fireworks are accompanied by nano-lights and stunning orchestral electronic music that will amaze visitors. The whole stage fireworks is a massive 4.7-kilometre stage, with dancing lights dancing to energetic music that flows from one side of the bay to the other.

Preparations for this year’s celebrations are being carried out by the organizing committee headed by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, teams from Ras Al Khaimah Police, the Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office, the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, Marjan, the Department of Works and Public Services, Ras Al Khaimah and Al Hamra Municipality, and others. The committee will focus on the public’s safety while taking all precautionary measures in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority and the Ministry of Health and Community Protection.
The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah has entered the Guinness Book of Records due to its amazing displays of fireworks in previous New Year celebrations. The emirate staged a stunning display of fireworks for the 2022 New Year celebrations attended by thousands of spectators along the beach, using more than 15,000 visual effects with the help of 452 drones. The spectacular 2022 festive display thus set two new Guinness World Records: “Most number of drones used to launch fireworks simultaneously” and “Highest height of a drone fireworks display.”

Ras Al Khaimah welcomed 2025 with a spectacular 4.5km New Year’s Eve fireworks show along the Al Marjan Island–Al Hamra Village waterfront, featuring brand-new pyrotechnic choreography, laser drones, and record-breaking ambitions that continue the Emirate’s five-year Guinness World Records™ legacy. Visitors enjoyed free camping and BBQ facilities at Rams Parking, with dedicated RV and caravan zones at Dhaya and tent camping at Al Rams (first-come, first-served). The celebrations included a free public festival with DJs, kids’ activities, food trucks, and family/bachelor zones, as well as the premium ticketed “Soundfest” event with an international artist lineup and enhanced F&B options.
Year 2024: RAK NYE Fireworks
Ras Al Khaimah, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), welcomed the new year by setting a Guinness World Record for the longest straight-line drone display, featuring an 8-minute firework show that captivated over 50,000 spectators. The display incorporated 1,050 LED drones, floating fireworks, and acrobatic pyro planes, all choreographed to music inspired by the emirate’s natural wonders—desert, sea, and mountains. Additionally, the celebrations broke another record for the longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks, spanning 5.8km. Raki Phillips, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, hailed the dual achievements as a testament to the emirate’s commitment to hosting unforgettable celebrations for residents and visitors.
Year 2023: RAK NYE Fireworks
Ras Al Khaimah set two Guinness World Records with its New Year’s Eve fireworks show. The city used 671 drones to set the record for the largest number of drones used in a simultaneous fireworks display, and 673 drones to create the largest aerial sentence formed by drones. The 12-minute performance featured a stunning pyrotechnic display and impressive fireworks.

Ras Al Khaimah’s New Year’s Eve fireworks show was a major attraction for visitors from around the world. The show featured state-of-the-art drones, nano lights, and a choreographed pyrotechnic display. Covering a distance of 4.7 km and reaching a height of 1,100 meters, the show set a new record for the largest number of drones used in a simultaneous fireworks display, with a total of 671 drones.
The show ended with a message saying “Happy New Year 2023,” followed by a transition into the emirate’s iconic “RAKashida” logo. The logo, inspired by the “kashida” concept in Arabic calligraphy, represents the emirate’s three natural elements: the sea, desert, and mountain

Thousands of people worldwide witnessed the Epic Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve Celebrations (RAKNYE 2022) that impressed everyone with amazing fireworks show that smashed 2 Guinness World Records.
The 12-minute spectacle was choreographed to express the reunion’s joy through six themes set to the majestic orchestral tune. The symphony of light and music offered the guests who had stayed at designated camping places with friends and family on the previous day an event that was one of the most enjoyable moments of the holiday season
Year 2021: RAK NYE Fireworks
The Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve Celebrations dazzled the world with a 10-minute firework show that underlined the UAE’s message of hope, peace and achievements. Lighting up the sky over the Arabian Sea, 8,500kg of fireworks lit up a length of 4km and width of 3.9km. The festive panorama of colours was achieved from 81 launch pontoons that shot up 15,281 firework shells. The show took 20 days of offshore and onshore preparation with 30 technicians. More than 3km of optical fibre was laid in addition to 6km of control cables.
Year 2020: RAK NYE Fireworks
The emirate wrote history as it achieved the titles of “Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for launching Fireworks Simultaneously” and “The Longest Firework Waterfall”, in the presence of official adjudicators from Guinness World Records.
