Ras Al Khaimah finally has what it has been missing: a place where authentic Indian fine dining, craft mixology, and a chic nightlife vibe coexist under one glamorous roof. Karma by Buddha-Bar at Hampton by Hilton Marjan Island has launched its brand-new Taste of India menu, and it is already shaping up to be the most exciting culinary upgrade on the island.
Curated by the Indian Cuisine Chef Gambhir Negi, this menu is not a token addition. It is a full-scale experience designed for people who love bold flavours, stylish ambience, and evenings that evolve from dinner to lounge. Chef Negi brings years of experience from luxury hotels and modern Indian kitchens across the region. His style blends classical North Indian techniques with contemporary presentation, creating dishes that feel both nostalgic and new. This is his first big project in RAK, and he’s set a very high bar.
A menu crafted for every palate
Karma by Buddha Bar may not be a traditional Indian restaurant, but this menu easily competes with the top fine-dining spots in the region.
The secret: beautifully balanced flavours.
Nothing is too spicy or overpowering, making it perfect for Arab and Western diners, while still satisfying true Indian food lovers. Portions are generous, elegant, and ideal for sharing.

Highlights from the starters
The flavour journey starts strong with the Chef’s Signature Dhahi Puri – crunchy, creamy, tangy, and instantly addictive.
Meat lovers will gravitate towards the Mutton Seekh Kebab, char-grilled in a clay oven and paired with a mint chutney that lifts every bite.
Other crowd favourites include:
- Peri Peri Jheenga – tiger prawns with smoked bell pepper
- Malai Chicken Tikka – rich, creamy, and delicately scented with cardamom and mace
All refined, all photogenic, and all very Karma by Buddha Bar.
The mains that truly impress
If there is one dish that stopped us in our tracks, it was the Dal Makhani.
Slow-cooked for hours with tomato, cream, and butter, it delivers that velvety, smoky richness you only find in serious Indian kitchens. Pair it with their soft Naan or flaky Lachha Paratha and you have a winner.
The classics are strong too:
- Butter Chicken – poached in a silky tomato-cream sauce
- Mutton Rogan Josh – flavourful, aromatic, and fragranced with fennel
Comforting, elevated, and extremely shareable.

Drinks with an Indian twist
Karma by Buddha Bar pushes creativity beyond the plate with a drinks menu inspired by India’s vibrant flavours.
Must-try drinks include:
- South Star (non-alcoholic) – tamarind, ginger, chili, mint, lemon
- Mumbai to Goa – white and spiced rum, mango, and a chilli drop for that tropical heat
These are not gimmicks – they are genuinely smart, thoughtful blends.
WOW Verdict
Karma by Buddha Bar has created something Ras Al Khaimah did not have:
A destination where high-end Indian cuisine meets a lounge-bar energy.
You come for the food, stay for the beats, and end up lingering for the ambience. Whether you’re there for the Mango Rasmalai, the cocktails, or the sunset views over Marjan Island, this menu turns your dinner into a complete evening out.
