As per a report by the Commercial Affairs Department of Ras Al Khaimah’s Department of Economic Development, there were 17,868 operational licenses by the conclusion of March.
At the same period last year, the number was 17,506, indicating a 2.1% rise in the figure.
Business in Ras Al Khaimah
The valid licenses were categorized based on the economic activity sector, and it was found that the wholesale and retail trade industry accounted for 38.4% of the overall licenses issued.
The construction sector held the second-largest share with approximately 15.74%, followed by the manufacturing industries sector at 11.84%. The fourth spot was secured by the accommodation and food services sector with roughly 10%.
Amina Qahtan, the Director of the Department of Commercial Affairs, reported that there was a 1% increase in the count of new commercial licenses compared to the same quarter last year.
