RAK Ruler inaugurates Ras Al Khaimah Safe City

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and Supreme Council Member, emphasized that ensuring the safety and security of UAE citizens and residents is the top priority for the emirate.

He made this declaration during a visit to the Ras Al Khaimah Police GHQ, accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah.

During his visit, Sheikh Saud inaugurated the “Ras Al Khaimah Safe City” project, a crucial initiative of the Police Venture Capital Fund in digital security and digitization in Ras Al Khaimah.

Sheikh Saud stated, “Ras Al Khaimah enjoys a top-tier level of safety and security globally, thanks to its strategy aimed at establishing it as a prime destination for living, working, and investing.” He emphasized his commitment to enhancing the local security system to encompass all areas of the emirate and spur sustainable growth.

Sheikh Saud was greeted by Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Chairman of the Council of Police Commanders in the UAE and Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, and top government department directors and police officers in the emirate.

Following the reception, Sheikh Saud toured the main platform of the project at the police headquarters, where Major General Al Nuaimi gave him an overview of the project’s phases and its strategic and security significance.

Major General Walid Al Mannai, the Project’s General Supervisor, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the project, covering its phases and technical aspects.

After the visit, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah praised the project team’s efforts in completing its development in a timely manner.

After the visit, Sheikh Saud honored Lt. General Tamim and Major General Al Mannai with the Order of Merit at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City, recognizing their contributions to police work and public security. He also presented the Medal of Security Cooperation to Ali Al Omari, CEO of the Safe City Group and developer of the project.
