The Ras Al Khaimah Police have announced that certain routes in the emirate will be temporarily closed on February 22 to facilitate the UAE Tour 2023, a major cycling event hosted by the emirate. Motorists are advised to take alternative routes as the closures will commence at 12 PM and will remain in place until the race has concluded.
The UAE Tour attracts some of the world’s best male cyclists who compete in a seven-day race throughout the country. The first edition of the tour took place in 2019, and since then, it has become a significant event on the international cycling calendar.

This year, the 2023 men’s tour route will start and end in Abu Dhabi, with riders covering diverse terrain in the UAE as they pass iconic Emirati landmarks during the week.
