The Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) government is all set to build Middle East’s biggest car testing and registration village on a total area of 50,000 square feet.
Jamal Al Tair, chairman, public resources authority at the RAK government, said the cost for ‘Tasjeel’ village, to be built in collaboration with the Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc), will stand at Dh60 million.
“The integrated one-stop-shop for all vehicle testing and registration needs is expected to handle transactions of 1,000 vehicles on a daily basis.”
The Tasjeel village will be established on the Emirates Road in RAK, he added.
“However, Enoc will soon open a temporary vehicle testing and registration station under the name Al Jazaa Registration at the Eppco petrol station adjacent to the Manar Mall.”
The mega project will be inaugurated on January 1, 2019, Al Tair disclosed.
Maisun Mohamed Al Zahab, acting director-general of the public resources authority, said: “The Tasjeel village will also have a specialised centre in technical testing and a special room for VIP customers, along with service and maintenance workshops, a modern car wash station, a lube and oil change station, and other services.”
