The Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Department issued a statement on Tuesday 17th May that prohibits camping on beaches that are public.

The municipality claimed that camping on public beaches caused distortion to its appearance. Emirate due to campers closing off their areas that are public, and also trespassing on private property and not allowing people the opportunity to use the public areas unhindered.

A spokesperson from the municipality said that there isn’t a permit for camping on beaches. The spokesperson also noted that residents must adhere to the rules issued to prevent exposure to legal liability and violations. The spokesperson urged cooperation to preserve the overall environment of the emirate because the public beaches are considered to be a place of refuge for everyone in society and attractive places for tourists, and should not be shut down or violated through any means.
