As one of the most pet-friendly Emirates in the UAE, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority in association with Flopster, the popular app that connects UAE communities with pet-friendly activities, have teamed up together to showcase more places to welcome man’s best friend.
Desert Escapes
When it comes to desert adventures, fun for all is promised by a day spent camping in the company of loved ones. Best suited to the cooler months of the year, the activity allows families to spend some quality time with their dogs out in the open air, where they have the chance to stretch their legs. Furry family members are sure to delight in the many open spaces in Ras Al Khaimah, offering a welcome change from the confines of the indoor settings they would be used to. Dog owners can set up camp in recommended safe locations avoiding low areas such as stream valleys and opting for higher areas far enough from water tide levels specially during the winter season. Campers are also advised to follow fire regulations when cooking in the desert and keeping tents away from cooking stations or where wood is burned. When out an about with dogs in the Emirate owners are asked to clean up after their furry family members, carry plenty of water to keep their pets well hydrated and ensure they remain on the leash at all times.
