Wadi Naqab is located in Ras Al Khaimah Emirate and is nestled among the chain of Al Hajar Mountains.
Hike info:
Difficulty Grade: 2 (proper manmade route -Donkey trail- little of bouldering and some steep parts)
The camp site is one of the best and peaceful areas, some people and families they just camp their and enjoy evening relaxing or having BBQ dinner.
The Red wall hike: which is the long route
Duration: 11-13 h round trip
Distance: 19 km
This hike is moderate level, no technicality is required, few boulders and some steep parts, you need certain fitness level to make it, in general if you can do 3-5 km jogging then you can make it.
This hike contains bouldering passing through narrow passes and farming settlements and descending from 1200 meter to Sheri village @ 800 meter.
from the village we take a proper manmade donkey route all the way down to the start point.
Itinerary:
Reach the camp site the evening before to enjoy camping with bonfire and peaceful relaxation time.
Next morning, pack and start the hike. Lunch break will be on the plateau, another long break at the village depends on arrival time of the day as we have to consider 2-2.5 hours more time to complete the route before darkness.
On completion, we return to Ras Al Khaimah City for a decent dinner in a restaurant before heading back home.

Difficulty Grade: 3 (long hike with scrambling parts and exposed narrow passes)
Length: 17 km
Elevation: ascending around 1200 meter, starts from 250 to 1500 meter.
This is -a must do- one of the top list attractions for hiking experts and lovers and is longest and most challenging hikes in UAE/Oman consists of a proper manmade route/stairs, a loose stones steep part, climbing two sections of cliff vertical stairs, narrow pass and donkey trail passing through few manmade settlements and farms.
Therefore, this hike is not recommended for acrophobia people.
In general, no technicality is required but you have to be fit and have good hiking experience to participate in this hike.
Itinerary:
Arrive to the camp site nearby the start point at night, set up basic camp. Wakeup by the dawn have quick breakfast, pack and start the hike from the village in the valley taking our way along the valley bank on a proper manmade route the we have faint steep route with loose gravels and stones before reaching the cliff.
The cliff is about 300 meters height consists of three sections of manmade steps and narrow exposed part (2 meter long), and the end of the cliff we reach AS SAYH PLATEAU, take a break for quick bite then continue ascending few hills till we reach the donkey trail made by locals for logistics supply to their secluded houses and settlements.
First day hike finish on arrival to the settlements, we will have dinner prepared by locals including baking a fresh delicious bread in a very simple and traditional way. as well water, tea and snacks will be served. Prepare the camp and setup tents for the night, enjoy the panoramic view of Ras Al Khaima and the gulf as well the astonishing view of the wadi from the top.
Next morning, the breakfast will be served by locals, pack and start descending to the valley on a proper manmade route back to starting point.
We stop for a proper meal in a restaurant in the city of Ras Al Khaimah before heading back to our houses.

Length: 17 km
Elevation: ascending around 1200 meter, starts from 250 to 1500 meter.
This is -a must do- one of the top list attractions for hiking experts and lovers and is longest and most challenging hikes in UAE/Oman consists of a proper manmade route/stairs, a loose stones steep part, climbing two sections of cliff vertical stairs, narrow pass and donkey trail passing through few manmade settlements and farms.
Therefore, this hike is not recommended for acrophobia people.
In general, no technicality is required but you have to be fit and have good hiking experience to participate in this hike.
Itinerary:
Arrive to the camp site nearby the start point at night, set up basic camp. Wakeup by the dawn have quick breakfast, pack and start the hike from the village in the valley taking our way along the valley bank on a proper manmade route the we have faint steep route with loose gravels and stones before reaching the cliff.
The cliff is about 300 meters height consists of three sections of manmade steps and narrow exposed part (2 meter long), and the end of the cliff we reach AS SAYH PLATEAU, take a break for quick bite then continue ascending few hills till we reach the donkey trail made by locals for logistics supply to their secluded houses and settlements.
First day hike finish on arrival to the settlements, we will have dinner prepared by locals including baking a fresh delicious bread in a very simple and traditional way. as well water, tea and snacks will be served. Prepare the camp and setup tents for the night, enjoy the panoramic view of Ras Al Khaima and the gulf as well the astonishing view of the wadi from the top.
Next morning, the breakfast will be served by locals, pack and start descending to the valley on a proper manmade route back to starting point.
We stop for a proper meal in a restaurant in the city of Ras Al Khaimah before heading back to our houses.

The Red wall hike: which is the long route
Duration: 11-13 h round trip
Distance: 19 km
This hike is moderate level, no technicality is required, few boulders and some steep parts, you need certain fitness level to make it, in general if you can do 3-5 km jogging then you can make it.
This hike contains bouldering passing through narrow passes and farming settlements and descending from 1200 meter to Sheri village @ 800 meter.
from the village we take a proper manmade donkey route all the way down to the start point.
Itinerary:
Reach the camp site the evening before to enjoy camping with bonfire and peaceful relaxation time.

The Red wall hike: which is the long route
Duration: 11-13 h round trip

This hike is moderate level, no technicality is required, few boulders and some steep parts, you need certain fitness level to make it, in general if you can do 3-5 km jogging then you can make it.
This hike contains bouldering passing through narrow passes and farming settlements and descending from 1200 meter to Sheri village @ 800 meter.
from the village we take a proper manmade donkey route all the way down to the start point.
Itinerary:

The camp site is one of the best and peaceful areas, some people and families they just camp their and enjoy evening relaxing or having BBQ dinner.
The Red wall hike: which is the long route
Duration: 11-13 h round trip
Distance: 19 km
This hike is moderate level, no technicality is required, few boulders and some steep parts, you need certain fitness level to make it, in general if you can do 3-5 km jogging then you can make it.
This hike contains bouldering passing through narrow passes and farming settlements and descending from 1200 meter to Sheri village @ 800 meter.
from the village we take a proper manmade donkey route all the way down to the start point.
Itinerary:
Reach the camp site the evening before to enjoy camping with bonfire and peaceful relaxation time.
Next morning, pack and start the hike. Lunch break will be on the plateau, another long break at the village depends on arrival time of the day as we have to consider 2-2.5 hours more time to complete the route before darkness.
On completion, we return to Ras Al Khaimah City for a decent dinner in a restaurant before heading back home.
