With less than two weeks remaining until the New Year celebrations, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, in cooperation with the organizing committee for the New Year celebrations in the emirate, is preparing to welcome the year 2023 with impressive fireworks displays on musical rhythms that may set new records in the Guinness Book of Records.
Public Event: The RAK New Year Festival 2023
The RAK New Year Festival public event is ideally situated by the waterfront beside the BM Beach Resort – providing stunning views overlooking the fireworks and drone show. Live DJ performances, karaoke, movies, arts & crafts, carnival and so much more await!
The festival takes place on 31 December, from 2 pm to 2 am, bursting with color and sound for a New Year’s Eve like no other.
Featuring an electrifying concert from some of the UAE’s best DJs and artists, including Sound of Nikhil, DJ Ash, and Blues O’ Bantaloon the renowned band from Jordan, mesmerizing carnival-like performances, crowd karaoke on stage, food trucks, and much more, the festival will provide breath-taking views of the New Year’s Eve countdown and fireworks display.
Kids under the age of 12 can enter for free, while adults can purchase tickets priced at AED 10 per person from the ticketing office upon arrival at the festival or via the Platinumlist website here.
Traffic Instructions and Road Closure details for 31st December 2022
Preparations for this year’s celebrations are being carried out by the organizing committee headed by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, teams from Ras Al Khaimah Police, the Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office, the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, Marjan, the Department of Works and Public Services, Ras Al Khaimah and Al Hamra Municipality, and others. The committee will focus on the public’s safety while taking all precautionary measures in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority and the Ministry of Health and Community Protection.

There are over 15000 parking spots available.
The main roads affected by the New Year Event and Fireworks show are
- Sheikh Mohamad Bin Salem Road,
- Sheikh Mohamad Bin Zayed Road E311,
- Emirates Road E611,
- Shuhada Road and
- Al Etihad Road E11
Hotel Guests & Residents from Marjan Island are to follow the right lane and cross checkpoint verification before Entry.
For Public Events and Fireworks Shows, follow the left lanes for entry
Al Etihad Road E11 from UAQ will be closed from 2PM on 31st Dec 2022
Road Closures on 31st December 2022
- Main Entry Roads towards Marjan Area will be closed from 10:30 pm on 31st Dec 2022
- From 2:00PM – Al Ittihad Road E11 is closed (inbound from Umm Al Quwain towards Al Marjan Island)
- From 10:30PM – Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road E311 is closed (inbound from Dubai towards Al Shuhada Rd interchange)
- From 11:00PM – Sheikh Mohammed Bin Salem Street E11 is closed (inbound from Ras Al Khaimah towards Al Marjan Island)
- Following the fireworks, roads will reopen at 00:30am.
Public Parking information for RAK NYE Event
Free parking is available from the entrance of Al Marjan Island via E11 road (Google maps location pin: here), until the RAKEZ building roundabout (Google maps location pin: here). Parking capacity: 10,000 cars.
Upon entering from the Umm Al Quwain side towards Al Marjan Island, traffic regulators will direct all cars to the closest parking areas. The same applies when entering Marjan Island / Al Hamra Area from Al Shuhada Rd and E311 side.
