Jebel Jais Is Back! Winter Adventures Return to the UAE’s Highest Peak

Jebel Jais Is Back! Winter Adventures Return to the UAE’s Highest Peak

Jebel Jais is back this winter with ziplining, scenic dining, outdoor adventures and fresh mountain air.

If your winter mood has been screaming fresh air, big views, and a little adrenaline, consider this your sign — Jebel Jais has officially reopened this Saturday, 31st January, and yes, it’s doing so right on cue for peak mountain season.

After essential maintenance works and thorough safety assessments (the responsible kind of glow-up), the UAE’s highest mountain is ready to welcome everyone back for cooler temperatures, clearer skies, and that unbeatable feeling of being above it all. Think less city chaos, more “wow, I really needed this.”

Winter Mode: Activated

With winter settling comfortably across the UAE, Jebel Jais is back in its element. Crisp mountain air, scenic routes, and wide-open views make this the perfect time to unplug, slow down, or — let’s be honest — finally use that hiking gear you bought months ago.

Part of the 2025/26 season theme, Where Life Comes Together, the mountain once again becomes a shared space for adventure, wellbeing, and those spontaneous “should we stay longer?” moments. Whether you’re here to hike, cycle, eat, zip, or just stare dramatically into the distance, winter is when Jebel Jais truly shines.

What’s Reopening (And When to Mark Your Calendar)

Let’s get to the good stuff — here’s what’s officially back (or coming back very soon):

  • Jais Flight – the world’s longest zipline — is back in action from Saturday, 31st January.
(Yes, it’s still epic. Yes, your heart will race. Worth it.)
  • Jais Sky Tour – a 2-hour, 5-km adventure with six ziplines — resuming from Saturday, 7th February.
Perfect if one zipline simply isn’t enough.
  • 1484 by Puro – the UAE’s highest restaurant — reopening Saturday, 31st January,
8am–8pm, seven days a week. Mountain views with your meal? Always a yes.
  • Puro Express at Jais Viewing Deck Park — reopening 7th February,
    11am–8pm. Quick bites, big views.

Planning Your Visit (Because Yes, You Need a Booking)

To enjoy the mountain, visitors must either:

  • Have a confirmed booking for one of the experiences above, or
  • Purchase a Jais Viewing Deck Park ticket for AED 10 at the security entrance.

Easy, straightforward, and totally worth it.

A Word from the Mountain Makers

Donald Bremner, CEO of Marjan Lifestyle, sums it up perfectly:

“At Jebel Jais, we create spaces that invite communities to reconnect with nature, with one another, and with themselves.”

And honestly? That’s exactly the vibe. From movement and adventure to calm moments of reflection, the mountain delivers connection in all its forms — while keeping safety front and centre.
