100-bed Saudi German Hospital is coming to Ras Al Khaimah

Saudi German Hospital has signed an agreement to develop a 100-bed speciality hospital on Al Marjan Island, in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

The planned hospital will offer a range of healthcare services, including medical, rehabilitation, and cosmetic.

Expected to be operational in early 2019, the hospital will offer seven specialities, Saudi General Hospital Group said in a statement, adding that by 2020, this number will go up to 13.

The proposed expansion will also see an increase in the number of beds and the headcount of the hospital’s medical and nursing teams.

President of Saudi German Hospital Group Eng Sobhi A Batterjee said: “As one of the most important tourist destinations in Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE, Al Marjan Island is a remarkable urban development.

“With the new hospital [on] Al Marjan Island, we aim to provide integrated healthcare services that will meet the needs of the people. It will serve the residents and visitors to Al Marjan Island and the wider community.”

Eng Abdullah Al Abdooli, the chief executive officer of Al Marjan Island, added: “We are pleased to welcome the Saudi German Group to Al Marjan Island, which will further enrich the range of services that we are providing to residents and visitors from around the world.

“With the increase in a number of residents and visitors, it is important that we offer them truly world-class healthcare services in close proximity. The addition of the hospital will add to our appeal as a truly integrated destination, and will help us consolidate our market-leading position as a hub for tourism and investment.”
