Last month Adnoc announced that motorists now have to pay Dh10 extra if they want a petrol-station attendant to fill their vehicles with gasoline at their petrol stations. However, the self-service option is free.

4 Easy Steps to Self Serve

Step 1: STOP
- Switch off engine
- Children and pets must remain inside the vehicle
Step 2: AUTHORIZE
If paying with BANK CARD:
- Select ‘Payment method’ on screen
- Follow on-screen instructions
If paying with CASH:
- Call cashier to confirm the amount
Step 3: FUEL
- Select desired nozzle
- Insert the nozzle into the fuel tank
- Flip lever on pump upwards
- Squeeze trigger to begin fueling
- Hold nozzle throughout
- Fueling will stop when complete
- Return nozzle
Step 4: PAY
If paying with BANK CARD:
- Your card will be charged for the amount you refuel
- Please take receipt
If paying with cash:
- Call cashier to settle
