UAE Summits Challenge 2023

Prepare to embark on an incredible journey as the UAE Summits Challenge 2023 presents a five-week series of hiking and trail running events that will push athletes to their limits. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or an enthusiastic amateur, this event promises to test your mental and physical prowess against the backdrop of the UAE’s breathtaking mountainous terrain.

This challenge comprises five phases, each featuring hiking and running trails of varying lengths and difficulties, ensuring that participants experience ‘peak’ performance in every sense of the word. The adventure kicks off with Phase One on November 4th, starting at 6:00 AM on Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest mountain, beginning at Wadi Shehah. This moderate to difficult 10km hike is expected to take 4-5 hours to complete. Subsequent phases will lead athletes through the stunning landscapes of Hatta, Dubai; Jebel El Riham, Fujairah; Khorfakkan, Sharjah; and Jebel Hafeet, Al Ain.

Each challenge allows up to 450 participants and features several age categories, ensuring an inclusive experience for all.

The UAE Summits Challenge 2023 is a celebration of personal growth, unity, and community engagement. It commences on UAE Flag Day (November 3) and concludes on UAE National Day (December 2), becoming a landmark event on the UAE sporting calendar.

For participants, their friends, families, and spectators, the Summit Village will offer a range of entertainment, education, and community engagement activities.

• Hikers: 2 categories (males & females)
• Trail Runners: 8 categories

  • Between 18 and 29 years (males & females)
  • Between 30 and 39 years (males & females)
  • Between 40 and 49 years (males & females)
  • 50 years and above (males & females)

💰 Registration Fees:

• Hikers: AED 100
• Trail Runners: AED 150
